OK!  I'm going to try this Blogging again thanks to a few friends.  The gift of persuasion is a wonderful talent to have.  Nothing too exciting today except my SI Joint is causing me severe pain which is holding me back from redoing my family room and kitchen.  I think by wanting to redo my house I'm just putting off important events I HAVE to face AND HAVE TO COMPLETE.  Completing the task at hand is my issue....just finish what I start!

I Am What I Am

Man....are these words to live by or what?!  I had a friend call me today and said she put Edie Brickell & New Bohemians "What I Am" on her www.facebook.com status.  I thought this was genius of her.  Strength is what I immediately thought of.  I Am What I Am!! and that is the truth...of course we can tweak things here and there but for the most part...what you see if what you get.  Love it!!!!   For so long I thought I was such a weak person because I have been concentrating on my weaknesses rather than my strengths.  I think so many of us tend to do this.  Don't be afraid to show your true colors and think about  what you CAN do instead of CAN'T!  Let's do it!
So today I go to take my first Sewing 101 class at Jo Ann Fabrics here in good ole' Greenwood, Indiana.  Hopefully, I return with some new skills.
A little update....my iphone app Stylebook is coming right along.  I suggest anyone who is able to organize there wardrobe this way to do it.

Side Note *****I had to look wardrobe up because I was getting it confused with www.weardrobe.com! I think that is hilarious....brain is frying!!!!

Disaster!

I had such high hopes for my outfit today.  It had such potential but turned into disaster.  I had this really stylish black high waisted full skirt, cute pinstripe like black tights, a jean material button up with some North Face Fuzzy Boots...Well it is freezing here and  I needed more warmth and that is where it all fell apart.  I COULD NOT for the life of me find a sweater, jacket or a whatever to complete this outfit.  I had to take my post surgery husband to work, he was patiently/impatiently waiting for me and I folded under pressure. Ha ha ha, I looked like a big balloon.  I didn't even take a picture today.

Haa!! I found it!

Here is what I am trying to do.  I need to organize my closet without buying any "organizational" tools.  I'm always finding this and that to spend money on and I am really trying to change this.  So last night I went through my closet and OMG!!!  the things that I found.  I wondered what shoes I wore with my trouser pants last year...well now I know.  I found them....very cute Bjorn lace up shoes.  I'm looking forward to adding them to my outfit today. Oh don't we cease to amaze ourselves.  Anyways, I'm not buying any organizing gadgets.  So, I'm reading my newest Lucky Magazine and something familiar pops out at me.  There is a small article about an iphone app.  Stylebook!...it's the best thing EVER!!!!  I found this app about about 2 months ago.  I have been very excited to put this little gem to test but OMG you have to take pics of EACH piece of clothing, jewelry, scarves, head pieces, on and on.  Who has time for this?  Well starting around 3:00 pm I blew off all of my responsibilities and pulled items out of my closet one by one.  I had a blast!!!  I put the 2 year old in the shoes to take the pics so she was involved.  It was great.
Here is something interesting though.  As Kevin is laying in bed recovering from surgery his eyes are bugging out with each shoe box I bring out.  Then his questions  begin to the degree of what on earth are you doing and yada yada yada.  His little canny remarks blah blah blah...My question is...Who's closet has he been going into for the past 10 years?  The same one I go to!  and he is just NOW acting surprised...PLEASE!!!!

Where O Where did my weardrobe go?

Weardrobe...where are you?  I have a small but serious addiction to weardrobe.com and all of a sudden I can no longer sign on.  Did I get hacked?  What happened here?  I'm lost.  I click on a link to weardrobe and the same thing appears!!!! I put Chloe in the cutest, my style outfit, posted it on my weardrobe and Poof!!! Weardrobe is gone :(

Keeping It Real

I'm keeping it real.  If I'm keeping it real my background is my kitchen, sippy cups bowls, hot sandwich maker, some sword type thing I just glued together.  If I'm keeping it real I wear sweat pants or jeans pretty much every day.  Today I'm going on a date with my 8 year old son to see the Harlem Globetrotters.  So since I am Nurse Betty to my husband who is recovering from his first of two hip replacements I'm all about using my time wisely.  Quick Change I call it.....sweater and socks in the morning with Quick Change into a jacket (inspired by This Time Tomorrow's blog) and purple snake skin heels.....small addiction to snake skin shoes.  I don't know what it is about them but I likey!!  Looked great!

Oh!! to top it off...my boy was picked to go onto the floor to shoot a basket for a signed jersey...

Ahhhh Life

         Kevin, Cameron and 1 of our new pups and the little girl with the CRAZY bed head is Chloe Ray...my loves :)



Ok, initially I wanted to start blogging to get my thoughts straight, pull out the creative side of me and I really don't know why else.
It all started when I discovered secondskinstyle.blogspot.com  (you should check her out) she inspired me in so many ways.  I thought "you know I need to become more confident with my creativity....what better way than to blog and learn from others".
Well right now I am sitting in the hospital where my 36 yr old husband just had a hip replacement.  See they have been putting this off because he is so young.  Well, it is not going as planned and they are kinda at a loss of what the next step is and when to do the next one.  Needless to say with 2 kids, 3 dogs and my husband down I'm exhausted!! Although, I do have an AMAZING SUPPORT SYSTEM.  Get this, my mother/father in law have my children and their teachers are doing all homework with them at school.  My mom has my dogs and brought me money to the hospital so I could fuel up.  How fantastic is that?  I have nothing to be concerned with other than myself and my Kevin.  So I decided to put my blog on hold because I feel like nothing I have to say is positive (and if you knew me...this is so not how I am)  But, this is my only outlet and my small social forum and I'm not going to give up.  So in the meantime my style blog with my outfits that I think are cute and would like feedback is WAY on hold.  This has turned into a "Dear Diary Help My Gather My Thoughts" blog.  My husband is strong, I am strong (although I am feeling very weak) and my kids well they are just darling!!
I am off to order a small carry out for these FABULOUS nurses.  If not for them yesterday could have been even worse and trust me...It was bad enough!

P.S.  I do have the cutest outfit on. hehehe  If I didn't feel like it was totally inappropriate I would have a nurse take a quick snapshot and post it.  I still may wait until my mother-in law arrives have her take it :)
